Below is the latest communication with David Ross and the estate
Letter Hand Delivered to Mr Ross’s Westerdale Address dated
19th September 2010
Dear Mr Ross
I am writing to you personally in case you may not be fully aware of the local concerns about the future of The Milburn Arms Hotel.
The overwhelming majority of local residents are keen to see The Milburn Arms Hotel brought into its former use. We know of serious businesses which would wish to buy it in order to trade as a hotel, restaurant and pub
There are many reasons why any change of use is highly detrimental to the local economy and local residents. Rather write at length in this letter if you wish to learn more about our local concerns please do get in touch.
Kind regards
Kate Jones

Dear Kate
Thank you for your letter of 19 September 2010 to David Ross which Mr Ross passed on and to which he asked for us to reply.
Our preferred option has always been to find a leaseholder who would like to take on the property and develop a successful hotel and restaurant business. It is therefore very important to us that we have details of all interested parties who are in a position to make a serious offer for the Milburn Arms Hotel. We would very much welcome the opportunity to look at any and all serious proposals put forward by the interested parties you mention. Please would you ask them to contact us directly or forward their contact details to us if they are content for us to contact them directly.
As you are aware, Mr Ross is taking a personal interest in the Milburn Arms Hotel and the concerns of the local community, if you have any specific comments you or the community would like to make regarding their concerns, we would encourage you and them to contact us directly.
We look forward to hearing from you and the interested parties.
Regards,
Rosedale Estate
RESPONSE by email Sent Wed, 10 November, 2010
Thank you for your 10 November email in response to a 19 September letter, although I find it unattractive that the name of the sender isn’t shown. May I know please if there is a specific reason for the anonymity? Or alternatively and better please cease being anonymous.
As for community concerns they were expressed at the meeting in February which Mr Ross chose not to attend. In the light of Mr Ross’ personal interest to which you refer I and others in Rosedale will welcome an opportunity to meet Mr Ross on one of his visits to expand further if he wishes.
Yours faithfully
Kate Jones
